Oh, I don't know if I mentioned. I won a free copy of Batman: Arkham City in a giveaway. I am very pleased with this. ^_^
I played the first game, see, and I enjoyed it very much. It was great. It had that good old Metroidvania-style exploration element and a smooth, flowing combat system for good fun all around. And it was all wrapped up in badass Batman flavor--which goes a long way, you know. So yeah, the first game was sweet, and I've had the sequel on my wishlist since like forever.
At first I didn't buy it because it was $50. Then I didn't buy it because it was like $30. Then it was on sale for $10 but I still didn't buy it because look at all these games I already have in my library, look at 'em, go on, tell me I don't have the right to be a cheapskate with a backlog like that. And then just recently it was on sale for $5, or $7.50 for the Game of the Year edition with all the DLC. But I didn't buy it then either, because I was hoping I could trade for it instead. And then I got it for free, so I feel good about holding out for so long!
So now I have more Batman action to look forward to once I get that new laptop. (No, it does not run on my current machine's cheap bottom-of-the-line Intel integrated graphics chip. Apparently there are these things called "System requirements". Who knew?)
